I finally got around to installing my Axxis Ultimate pads today (which I had listed in my profile months ago...I am such a liar...I hang my head in shame). While I was at it, I gave the front calipers a shot of high temp red....

So, I successfully completed my first brake pad install ever. I took my time as I normally do, following the TTZD writeup found here. I decided to reuse my shims, but I came to the conclusion that buying the hardware kits was worth it...since it would save you the time of cleaning all the shims, clips, etc. Anyways...just another thanks for the helpful info on the site...and dang, my calipers suuure do look perdy. I have yet to really "test" the new Ultimate pads...didn't wanna go out in the rain :(
